                      Nah. The outer main rail will sit under the sill of the truck. The flared bits will come out to around the line of the tyres. Nothing to catch.

                      Gotta say, I do like that design. When I'm confident with my welding skills, I'll see about getting some nice big box section and make something like that.

                        The outter rail will sit far enough out from the sill to stand on, or use a hilift jack on. The flares will come out to the arch edge.
