  • panhard Rod Drop Bracket - any one got one to sell?

    Hi Guys,

Got my new +2" springs and shocks this week, plus 31/10.5/15 Khumos. Just need the bracket and we're sorted.

Anyone got one for sale? or anyone know who does them, as the old thread about it is 2005 vintage, and people were talking about fabbing them, or getting a stock (TonyN??)

    cheers fellers

think people tent to be going for the chop and extend the panhard rod or choop out a section and use threaded rod to make it adjustable. Was it woodzie managed to rip half his panhard mount apart with the drop bracket?

Before andy gets there it's only about .3" or something that it moves the axle on a 2" lift so it's questionable whether it's worth doing anyway.

Nero has a point - when i just had a 2" lift it didnt need it. Its now got 4" in the suspension an did make a difference then.

      I wouldnt bother with just a 2"

        oooh, how much!

OK, then I guess its not really worth it.

Any other 'Ive done it' advisors want to add to this?

Also asked the garage that are putting my new tyres on and doing the tracking/alignment if hey would fit my springs and shocks.

Yes, 3 hours @ £40 per hour plus the VAT.

Should it take a garage this long to do, with all the right kit?

No - but it doesn't surprise me that that's what they have quoted for.

Now i know what i'm doing i reckon it would take me about 1.5 to 2 hours to do them on my drive. Took several coffees a couple of beers and about 5 hours last time round though.

You shouldn't need the drop bracket just for a 2" lift as it won't affect the axel that much. Have a chat with Bushy if your still wanting to get one tho

Agreed, not worth fitting the bracket.

Mine ripped the OEM bracket apart when I duffed it about a bit offroad.
