  • 4x4Toys Seat lift

I'd seen Roger Browns seat lift on the 4Crawler site. I too found the Surf seat too low, I was sitting in it rather than on it, and I'm 5" shorter than Roger.

When my truck was with Tony I mentioned this to him and he supplied me with a set of 4x1" spacers and longer bolts. It was an easy spannering exercise to loosen the front bolts, replace the rear and tighten up again. Makes a real difference to the seating position and IMO gives better support to the base of my back.

I haven't chased them as last I heard was someone (?sorry forgotten who) went to collect Nero's to be told their laser cutter had broken and would be down for a while. Think that wads posted about 2 weeks ago. I've still got goodes to fit (cb, new aerial etc) but not much time so haven't chased them myself.

Spacer make a big difference. I did get a bit sore at the base of my back on longer journeys and these seem to have cured it.

Joker was up there and asked a couple of weeks ago, they reckon end of October now, not bad considering i was originally expecting it in June.....

just glad i hadn't bought a winch back then as it would've been sitting useless for the last few months with any warranty or anything like that ticking down on it.

interesting you say they give you better support in the base of your back as since owning mine a have really struggled to get comfortable in it and on long journeys actually get a back ache - think i'll have a try at some myself
