  • TonyN, they fit!!

Tony fitted the TJM 40mm lift for me and cranked the torsion bars a bit for me to try 33/10.50R15's and they fit

I wanted the skinnier tyres to retain the Surf alloys, keep lift to a minimum and cut through the slop to firmer mud (so the theory goes). They clear the bumper and the mudflaps on the flat, I'll see how it goes when they're stuffed into the arch

...and yes I was going for Insa Turbo's but there's none available and no carcasses at the factory for them to be able to give delivery dates. Still, don't suppose I'll be disappointed with the BFG's.

Might still go for a small body lift to level the torsion bars out again, I guess cranking them up compresses the rear springs a bit????

Looks good, you could try some coil spacers to lift the rear another 2"

    Still working for the man!

Normally cranking the torsion bars will lift the rear slightly but the truck looks good tho

Nice, very nice. If you have problems with the tyres rubbing off-road, a set of wheel spacers or deep-dish wheels should sort it out. Bodylifts are great for giving tyre clearance if you choose that route.
Thinking about 235/85/16 tyres- similar size!
        cheers,

Hi Andy, Sorry for jumping in but I think they are quite rare and mainly BFG do them.

Indeed, but my surprise was that they don't list 33 x 10.50 on their website... only a 33 x 12.50... 'cos if I could get them on the original rims... mine are coming to the end of their useful life...

A personal contact with his own tyre business, can't remember what he calls the firm though

They are BFG's, and they were like hens teeth to get hold of.

On further investigation, and having read the original thread...

                            33 x 10.50/R15 ... M/T's - BFG do indeed make them.. and a few sites list them... at about £130 a piece...
