I am wanting to lift the torsion bar 1-1/12 inch as ive been advised not to lift anymore than that, When looking how to do it there is a biggish nut down the side of the chassis (about the end of the gear box) distance down the car. Do i just turn that or is there a locking nut ? How far do i turn the nut and which way ? Thanks for any info. P.S. I have my tools out and im ready to do it if there is any quick replys..

You will see the bolt head at about the position you say ( end of gear box ish). There is a nut at the top of the box section which you may need to hold with a spanner, turn the bolt clockwise!
BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE FRONT WHEELS OFF THE GROUND AND DO NOT PUT AXLE STANDS OR JACKS UNDER THE BOTTOM WISHBONE THEY NEED TO HANG SLACK!!CHEERS JOHN................
