  • Milners bodylift

    Hi Folks,
Has anyone fitted the Milners 1.5" inch kit to a KZN130 as it`s listed in the LN column and says up to year 08/93. Mines 11/93. Also if it does fit is it just the rad. shroud I need to remove as I understand this is the case with the 3 litre models?
    cheers,
    chris

Dont forget that it dont come with bumper relocation brackets! so you gotta sort some of them out! or your bumper will sit 1.5" too low!

Thanks for that. Front bumper attached to chassis. Rear bumper attached to body (strange). I`m thinking about lifting the towbar and then fitting a removable drop-plate and lifting the exhaust tail-pipe as that`s attached to chassis. That leaves the running boards which should go up with the body?

I think (im 99% sure) That the running boards are bolted to the body!

Jottos kit does come complete with all brackets you need for the bumper relocation, plus its 2"

theres many options out there mate! Just takes a while to go though them all to find whats best suited to you!

Its £85 delivered i think mate.

Almost impossible to beat that price. Even some kits from america are more then that with our fantastic exchange rates.

Ive found one place that wanted $260 for the blocks alone! No bolts, no brackets! AND NO POSTAGE

                  Hi Folks,
Did the Milners 1.5" lift today with the help of Chris (Ohsupremebeing, thanks). Good quality alum. spacer blocks. Four of the bolts supplied with the kit are too long and you have to use the old ones, which are probably stronger anyway. Milners must know about this fault as it`s been reported before. I`ll send an email on monday- so if anyone wants to buy a kit from MIlners ask them if 4 of the 8 long bolts have been changed for shorter ones.
The only vehicle changes required are to move the rubber steering grommet slightly and raise the front bumper. No need to take the lower radiator shroud off or move the radiator.
All in all a simple but time consuming job. Very happy with the machined blocks which are chamfered on all the edges. Cost of kit £71.00 delivered but remember you dont get bumper brackets with it and 4 of the bolts are the wrong size.
                  My vehicle is a late `93 3.0td KZN 130.
                  cheers for now,
                  chris

                        Hi Folks,
Will take some pics when I`ve finished the bumper brackets. I didn`t take any job pics as there`s a very good step by step guide on the forum already.
                        cheers,
                        chris

                          Hi Folks,
Here are some pics of truck with bodylift. It`s only 38mm and to prove I`ve actually done it you can see a small gap thru the wheel well! To summarise: Bumper brackets req. to raise bumper. These were made using ali-chequer plate. Steering grommet plate adjusted. Radiator- no change. About 5mm of fan-tip was removed automatically by the fan hitting the lower shroud! Side-steps & rear bumper move up with body and towbar can be altered and raised by same bodylift.
Very pleased with it. That`s high enough for me now.
