just fitted it, easy as anything. just need to try it out once truck is fixed.
with the cb and antenna cost me £110 did'nt think it was a bad price for a basic radio.

I bought mine from Xovereign, and ebay store. Cost me about fifty squids for the cb. I got the mag mount and thunderpole from ebay to. Cost of about twenty squids. Fitted it all myself when i did my new steering wheel. I sometimes listen to eu/europe. I have heard people in switzerland talking to people here in cornwall. Also i have heard people not only up in scotland but also on the isle of sky.

Nice neat job looks descrete, But can it be removed to hide away from the thieving little b,stards ?? I like your momo steering wheel, Can you buy them to fit straight on a surf on do you have to make them fit, Or did they come on a certain surf i.e ssrg or anything..

Unfortunately, the C.B is not easy to remove as its bolted in, so if they get it out they are welcome to it. But then, we dont get much of that thieving going on round ere so is ok.
The steering wheel i got also from fleabay, and should fit any momo boss. Its the boss you have to get to fit the surf. I put in a search for steering wheel boss kits, and found an ebay store, which had a boss for all import cars. I got an OMP boss kit. The only thing was, i had to add a small earth wire on the rear of the horn push to make the horn work.

Nice setup... I have a GME TX3200 in my other vehicle at the moment (RAV4) and am looking to get the factory mounts and other stuff so that I can swap the CB between cars...

I notice that you have changed your steering wheel - how hard is it to do this mod? I dont like the small diameter grip.... just not MANLY enough... LOL!!

                      Nice looking install there mate...

could you please tell me where you ran the antenna cable through the firewall as I am about to mount my CB very similarly to your install..

                      Thanks

Well the new wheel is a smaller diameter so this means its harder to steer as there is less leverage. And its a simple job.

The antenna goes up and over the pedals, down next to the fuse box, under the carpet to the rear passenger door, then up underneath the plastic, then out near the doorlock up the side of the rubber window seal and up and over to the middle off the roof.
If you would like some pics, let me know and ill get some sorted for ya

When you read it quickly, it seems like an easy job....

Thanks for the reply... Ive decided to mount my antenna on the bullbar and run the wiring thru the firewall....

Pics to follow - when we get a decent day...
