Hi Guys, I am new aound here but have read quite a bit. From what I read I understand that a diesel unlike a gas(petrol) engine cannot run lean. It will only give less power when reaching a lean condition without heating up the motor like a gas version... This also leads to the fact that if you can increase the air flow(within reason) you will increase the power. correct???
Well here comes the question.. I have(just bought) a naturally aspirated 3l (2.8l) It I increase airflow on the intake(different filter) and maybe increase the diameter of my tailpipe I should get better power delivery right? Or are there any downsides to increasing the diameter of the tailpipe. What would a drop in backpresure do to the diesel?
Please excuse my questions if they appear "stupid".. this is my 1st diesel
