  • Painting wheels - can I spray this bit?

My alloys' surfaces are very very knackered, so I want to quickly wire-brush and spray them in-situ on the car in a black and silver combo, but the front hubs stick out through the alloys (shown by the big red arrow) -

So, can I safely spray this bit? It looks pretty well sealed up. But, should it have a plastic cap over it anyway?

I want to get it to look (sort of) like this -

    thanks

        i tried it

I tried spraying my wheels on the car and they came out $$$$. I just couldn't get them rubbed down well enough on the car. mine were prety rough though. I've taken my alloys off now to do a propper job. I'm going to polish instead of paint this time working my way through finer and finer wet and dry at the momment. Wish i d never started.
