For a start, I can't see those manifolds clearing the engine mount points in the Surf.

I was in LA Supertrux earlier today and there were two Surfs with 4" lifts in the shop, at least one fitted with a V8. If I'd have known I'd have paid more attention

                  I been thinking that 'The Vagrant' zook needs a updated/rebuild . Would be nice to have a 450 instead of a 410 . .
5.0 litre zook would be a good 'un.

the engine would weigh more than the zook.that would be some power to weight ratio though.

Was there beer involved in this purchase Rick? Now you have buyers remorse.

No beer involved , if it was I may have bought a couple of vehicles as well as just an engine .

Ahhhh, that slippery Ebay road to elightenment...

                            There are always options...

                            for example...
                            http://www.northwestoffroad.com/part...eadapters.html

Should go straight in, no problem... then you'll have to get rid of your old lump... find some portals... (how did that get in there...)

Nice buy m8, never mind her indoors! $hit passes, especially with a lot of groveling, made some of my best (and worst) buys on impulse, bought my Buick on impulse for £400 and after spending several grand on it and haveing the engine "blow up" sold it for £400, no wonder i'm always skint, Good luck with it
