  • Body lift, suspension lift.. or both?

Just been reading on body lifts and suspension lifts.. but which is the best way to go? Can you do both and what would be the advantages?

So far the 2" body lift from offroadtoys is looking good with the HDJ8 rear springs and 3" ES 3000's (and the kit from Bushwacker)

    Would this work, 5" lift?

What else would I need to mod, ie brake lines, stearing extension etc?

Going to have a go at this myself but just need to make sure I have all the right info as if the Surf is off the road my Mrs will want to use the Celica, and thats just not going to happen

the steering extension happens when you do the bodylift by slacking of the bolts on the steering colomn. You may want to get extended brake lines too as i have done.I have also got a diff spacer kit from Jotto so i can lift the front a fraction higher.you wont get a total of 5" on the front end tho,i am hoping with the diff spacers that i may be able to get about 3" to 4" at a later stage.
What i have ordered is:- hdj80 springs,2 x +3" shocks for the rear,2 x +2" shocks for the front,A Bushy special kit for the panhard,Diff spacer kit from Jotto and extended braided brake hose x 3
