That looks very nice, Ian. Great job. In fact, even though the
wife has banned me using this word to describe inanimate objects,
I'll go so far as to say that looks sexy.

Ian, mind me asking how you capped that opening from the blower to the
centre vents? (Didn't know if you might be giving advice today).
Got mine out at the moment, and going to use that vent bit like you
suggested. Just not sure how's best to do it.

        Cheers.

AhAh Your OK Matt, I got the ASDA badge "HAPPY TO HELP"
I used part of the plastic "bend" that fixes between the vents and the lower part of the blower pipe, it's square or oblong in shape, i cut the bottom off where it bends and stuck insulating tape across the cut end, several layers so it wont blow off and then taped around the edge covering the tape ends,
then stick it back on, gives you quite a lot of room in there,
What ya gonna put in there then?

Cheers Ian. I'll get busy with the hacksaw on that bend.
Going to nick your idea and pop the gauges, (temp and volt),
in there. Probably an indicator LED for when the rad fan kicks
in, as well, just so I don't worry about it not working.

@Popeye Er, I'm a few years late but this thread looks really interesting. I'd love to see what you've done but the photos have disappeared. Are they available anywhere else? Thanks, Jim

No seriously if you have a collection of the general interior pics, but especially the dash console lights, that would be brilliant.
I too have looked at this post about 10 times, only to grind my teeth in frustration when I discover hundreds of "red cross of doom" boxes...
Would love to see the fruits of your efforts.

Oops. Sorry Popeye. Totally missed your reply. Thanks to those who bumped the post again. I'm still interested in pimping my interior lights. Actually moreso now that it's dark early and I drive more in the dark! The few LEDs I've put in to replace blown bulbs are looking nice and I'm ready to (drumroll) move on to the more difficult stuff*

*Or pay someone else to fix it if I cock it up ;o)
