any of you guys got any fitting tips.

it's the hole in the wing that is a bit scary.

It is a bit scary but the instructions are good and the two main things are to trust the template they give you and to keep the drill horizontal whilst cutting the hole(s). Also don't forget (like I did) that you have to remove the expansion box that sits in the top of the wing before starting to drill

And take your time... don't rush it... No interruptions... and drill the right hole in the right panel...! ('cos i was constantly interrupted... and didn't!)

Have all the bits ready before you start... particularly the stuff to finish the cut metal... make sure you do that real good.

The only tricky bit for me was the brace inside the wing... I had to nip down the road to a friend that had an air compressor and a good selection of cutting tools to trim that bit out.
Other than that, it comes with all the bits, and the instructions are good.

        thanks guys.

got snorkel today. i am going to have a go tomorrow. as you both say measure twice cut once.

do you need anything else for the job ? or is everything there.

once you cut through with the hole does the rubber pipe that they supply fit straight onto the air filter.?

what did you do with the pipe that goes into the air fillter already?

as you can tell i'm a bit nervous about this. i've enlisted the help of a mate that knows a bit more than me so between the two of us we should be ok.

again many thanks, and any help is appreciated a lot.

        cheers scotty

            hi boba,

i got my snorkel from scorpion racing http://www.scorpionracing.co.uk/

            it was £175+vat and carrage= £230

they were easilly the cheapest, i was getting quoted £220 + vat from other places like frogs island, specialist leasure and a few others.

i'm not saying these other places are no good, just more expensive for a snorkel.

hope this helps and i'll let you all know how i get on, i'll take some piccies when fitting.

            cheers scotty

                dig deep mate.

you will probably be a £10 less than me. they charged me extra carrage because i stay in sunny scotland.

                cheers scotty
