Thought this may be of use to peeps who dont have the £3-500 for a posh new `zorst, thought i could chop old `zorst after the flexi and add 2.5 or even 3inch system from there? worth it ?? http://www.jetex.co.uk/index.php

like a chain, an exhaust is only as good as its weakest link. i.e - you could have a 3" exhaust form the manifold back, but if the collector on your manifold is only 2", you're going to see neglegable difference to anything except weight, and aesthetics.
however
do it anyway, it's certainly not going to do any harm.
Can I make a suggestion, however- get onto ebay and search for things like "civic AND exhaust", you'll find all sorts of different back-boxes starting from about £20. So for that, plus the cost of a few feet of stainless tubing (and of course your time welding) you could have a full new cat-back system.
Give it a whirl and post the results!
