I need 1 of them Hows it holding up??? Looks like cheap stainless (exhaust stainless that gets a surface coating of rust) & mild steel wire.
too true. powerflow generally use the 409 grade that surface rusts. will not rust through mind.
there is another company who does this, and they always use the better 304 'food safe' grade lol
Just booked mine in here although Chris apparently is now working at another branch. Quoted £380 inc VAT for what I want done (2.5 inch all the way through to side exit behind rear wheel). I'll post again once it's fitted with details of any noticable improvements. I think I can take for granted that it will look better then the rusty battered thing hanging under there now!
Got the new exhaust fitted - it's exactly what I wanted. Opened to 2.5inch from the downpipe right through and the small exit pipe curls just behind the rear mudflap where hopefully it won't get bashed. Throttle response and acceleration is much improved and I can hear the turbo spooling up properly now. I asked that it not be a noisy one (so the baby can still sleep on journeys!) and they did a good job, it only has a slightly noiser burble then normal at idle and certain rev ranges. Waiting now to see how it does with fuel economy...
I haven't been tempted to get under there tbh mate! I wasn't there when it was fitted, just dropped it off and picked it up later in the day. Could be 1 inch thick thinking about it - I didn't look! It definately isn't though cos the truck is an absolute pleasure to drive now.
Looks the Dog'S like it so much, and have wanted it done on my 1992 LN130 Surf, Ive now emaild PowerFlow in Hove East Suseex with your link so they can see what a really nice job you've had done, asking can they do the same for my truck, will let you all no the outcome on it, and if they can do it and at what cost, will take some pic's and post them up, very good price you got at £350, only hope I'll get the same deal

nicely done!
im getting mine made up on the 19th of may. only a single system in 2.25" tube, 1 silencer in the middle, no back box, and a turned down tail out the way of anything touching it when im iff road
your system is nicely bent up by the looks of it.
do you ever get a knock where the original tailpipe side where the can is now? or over axle on the Y piece?

mine? If so, no knocking anywhere yet. I've had a look underneath and it's all very tidy and well clear of everything. The only thing I recommend that you do when you have yours done is that you request the exit pipe be angled downwards. I've noticed I get the smell of fumes in the truck when running with the back window open and I'm sure if it was angled down further this would not happen.
