www.milneroffroad.co.uk for the haynes one or Amazon for the Max Ellery one (you need the manual numbered EP-TH4D.

Head will take you about 14-20 hours of work, not difficult, just time consuming with only 2 bolts difficult to get, the rear ones on the exhaust and inlet manifolds. Head gasket will take the same time and is no more or less difficult. Personally I think that anyone who is reasonably capable on the spanners can do the head on the Surf. I managed it so it can't be too bad.

    Cheers

Actually you can get at them but you need a decent ring spanner to loosen them initially then a 1/4 drive ratchet and 14mm socket with a UJ on it to undo them totally. Once those two are undone it's a doddle. Reverse when you are doing them up, ratchet to get them finger tight then spanner to tighten them fully.

Oh and the two nuts holding the oil pipes are impossible to tighten if the turbo is already fully installed, you need to do them up before installing the turbo to the manifold.

Oh and also remove all the studs from the manifold before re fitting the head, makes it a lot easier if you screw in the studs through the manifold into the head and again for the turbo studs. Allows plenty of movement to get the bl**y thing on.

        Cheers
