  • Steering Wobble

I have bought a 94L 3.0, to say i was pleased would be an understatement, the only problem is that i have steering wobble that is getting worse, i have had the wheels balanced and tracking done, twice in the last four days, the company that done did not find anything else. I have also noticed that the garter around the drive shaft on the nearside front wheel has split, does anyone have any ideas, i am going to take it to garage to see if they know what the problem is, i just wondered if anyone else knew what it might be?

Probebly something from Andy's post, but I've had bad vibes from junk jamming in the CV from a split gater,

Also check you tyres for roundness and equal pressures.

Thanks for the help, it turns out it was the idler arm on the steering.

anyone elsewith similar problems heres a good site I found

might just have to check mine...with all the off-roading need to check out the slight draw to the left...under hard braking the vehicle pulled left the other day also. Have a slight vibration through the wheel at higher speeds..could be down to one wheel need balancing!

Sounds like the brakes need servicing.
