I had a 1990 hilux 2.4 turbo for 13 years and have now got a 1995 hilux 3L turbo....love Em! But both have a common problem, the door lock switch will not lock/ unlock the doors, the key will lock the doors but not unlock them as it should with central locking. I suspect aging contacts but am having a problem finding replacements . The window switches on the first hilux played up but I got them going again by tidying up the contacts...worked for a while. Any one else with the same problem, and if so what did you do to cure it, hopefully permanently.

hi pal mine had the same problem try looking at the wiring harness within the door shut on the drivers side , remove the door card uncover all the wires from within the door shut and im guessing you wil find what i had which was a load of broken wires , soldered mine all back up and everything and worked ok after
