  • Are the radiators from Roughtrax ok? Which are better?

    Hi all,

As the title says, i'm looking for a radiator for my new Gen3 - nothing wrong with the current one, but don't have a lot of history, so would feel safer getting a new one to avoid the strawberry milkshake.

Are the Roughtrax ones the best out there, or are there better form elsewhere?

    Thanks

    James

    James,

The best out there is the Toyota ones but you need to dig deep at a Toyota dealer for these.

If it was my truck and I was keeping for some time I would invest in a genuine Toyota Rad you may be replacing with a newer inferior product.

The only sure fire way to prevent pink milkshake has to be fit an external oil cooler and junk the in-rad one?

Spend less money than a decent new rad and get a better response all round. Less heat going into the engine from overheated coolant and ZERO chance of oil and water meeting.

That way you keep your rad that seems fine and you get better cooling all round.
