  • Swapping seats round

Morning everyone. Noob question time lol..

Just bought my 2nd surf (sold the last 1 in 2008) & the drivers side seat is about had it & makes my arse hurt when i get out. All i wanna know is do the seats swap over ok (gonna just take them out & put the passengers seat on drivers side & vice versa) or is there anything i need to know in advance? Cheers.

Oh its a gen 2 ssrg & they are recaros.

    Thanks in advance

I assume these are the netted headrest Recaro's.....Should be no problem swapping them over - though the reclining knob is a little more difficult to get to.

I'm about ready to swap mine back to orginal position since I've now worn out the passenger seat!

but to reach to them, you need to remove the plastic trim, that is hold on by 2 little screws, you can see in the pic.

You don't actually need to remove the rails from the seats - they swap over as is. Obviously the reclining knob and slide lever are on the wrong side, but perfectly useable.
