Ok so apparently these pics are oil leaking and not brake fluid. So, half shaft seals I've been reading up a guide on here which says it's normally the inner, which is easier. Is this true, or am I gonna have to change them both. How hard is it to do outer?

Cheers that's the thread I read. But is it most likely to be that easier inner seal then? I've nearly got the thing out now. 4 bolts on back plate are loose, just need to disconnect handbrake cable and the brake pipe. I don't get on that guide tho what's the need to take out all the rear brake parts? I'm trying to do it without taking brakes out

Sorted oil seal
Old one
I thought there was a lot of play in the bearings when I had the half shaft out, but when screwed back up it moves about 0.5mm sideways, and 1.5mm in and out. Dunno if this is normal. With wheel on,,, no movement
seal finally out.
New seal inserted with these helpful tools
