  • Cant think of a heading

I've been playing around with the front nearside axle. Took the old one off and put another on. The inner end bolts up x 6 to the diff output and the outer end snugs up against the inside of the rotor ... but thats it .

What holds the outer end of the axle up against the disc assembly tight enough so that a seal is made and the $hite stays out and the lubricant stays in???

Theres only one brass bolt and washer I can think of that might be the key but this only winds into the end of the axle shaft itself and doesnt come into contact with anything else so it effectively holds nothing but itself onto the axle end.

    I'm lovin it

There is also a circlip on the outer part of the axle.
