  • Hydraulic press questions

I hope someone can point me in the right direction here, I'm buying a bench or floor standing press for a job on my bike project but will no doubt need it for Surf related work too (ball joints)?

What size will I need for the job? 6, 10, 12, ton? I don't want to buy one and then find it won't shift a wheel bearing or something.
    Thanks for any advice.

go right to a 20 ton.
i used a 20 tone floor standing one to get the wheel bearings off. a LOT of pressure on them and they came off with a bang.

      OOF! THAT'S BIG.
Not sure I can afford or fit that in the garage.
I've seen some 12 ton ones that aren't too expensive or large, do you reckon that would do?
I'm using it for diy stuff / occasional use.

I've just seen some 20t presses on eBay for £125 the same physical size as the smaller ones but with a bigger ram.
        What do you think?
I can't get the link to work but here's the number 251200236337
