track rod end/ tube setup

could anybody give me rough dimensions of everything as a starting position (i.e., before going to alignment centre)

mechanic just pulled everything off without nothing the position of anything, so need to know the starting points!!

The most obvious thing firstly would be to change your "mechanic".
Seriously.
If he can't be trusted with something as simple as some track rods ends one can only wonder what will happen if he tackles someting safety related.

In case the "mechanic" has'nt figured it out yet he could look at the rust marks left on the original crush tubes/track rod ends.
Failing that try winding the tube on about 1 1/2" on both ends and see if the wheels look straight.If not continue the process till it looks about right.
Make sure everything is bolted up correctly.

Then leave there and take it to someone who knows what they are doing.
