2nd gen 2.4 ltr petrol...or 3.0ltr diesel----same snorkel????

Hi guys.
Im after a snorkel for my surf.Hard to find it but smeone has said that surfs 2,4 petrol and 3 ltr diesel is same set up....
.....is that correct please?
