Gearstick options---will you know

Ive just bought hilux surf L reg 3.0 td

It is an automatic but previous owner has not much idea whats the all letters and numbers ment.

Few weeks ago ive contacted TOYOTA UK with ide of finding out what all the letters ment and how do I use it wisely......................bu t............they have no idea so r-reverse....d-drive and that's all!!

Ive tried Toyota in japan but they web is in they language.....not helpful.

So,there is two gear sticks and can someone explain what they all mean and how to propely use it

Small gear stick...

N..............plus 4wd button on the side of the stick

Use the "search" Luke!

P = park

R= reverse

N= neutral

D= drive...........plus the side button Over drive on/off

2=2nd gear

L=low gear

Or something like that

that little red button is to enable you to move the gear selector into any position with engine off. i am pretty sure you can search on here for a full expo on all the various buttons ect, including the ECT button
