I know theres 5000 topics on this, but none answer this

So i tried the two bucket method but the atf wouldnt draw from the new bucket

Could i get two hand pumps, one to pump out and one to pump in..?

Ive read people like to do 2 litres at a time but i dont want to spend a whole day doing an oil change
Or are there any 'kindaquick' ways?

    Cheers

Hi James, the quickest way is not to do it. If it looks red and the gear changes are smooth then don't bother. I know imported toyotas that are 20 yrs old and have never had ATF fluid changed.

If you can't be bothered to use the search facility or take the time to service your truck properly, go to a garage and hand over your wallet!

As I said at the beginning

        I know theres 5000 topics...

        None answere my question
Ive spent hour after hour after hour, tried a few of the suggested ideas, using the search...
Pouring down the tube takes ages, i spent half an hour pouring about 5 litres in...

My atf isnt a nice shade of red as it should be

Oh well never mind.. Ill figure it out
I was hoping my question wouldnt draw the critism i tried to address by explaining id used the search function... The point of this is im "bothered" about doing it properly, hence asking the question in the first place....

How exactly did you carry out the two bucket method?

I removed both hoses, dangled the one that was advised to be exit pipe in a old car, and stuck the one that was supposed to draw it into the can of new atf

Cranked up, it blew old atf out for a tiny bit but didnt draw any...

I attached a clear pipe to the end of the draw pipe so i could see if it was working or not...

How far away was the old car parked?
How long was the engine running whilst you waited?

OK assuming that the pick up from the box is not blocked that should have worked.
What about draining and refilling (via the dip tube) a couple of times, you will eventually get all the old crap out by dilution.

I tried several times for about 5-10 mins

I got really cross as filling via dip tube was a total nightmare

But if its the only real feesable way then ill have to do that
