hi all,i have had my old surf 6 yrs and have had very few problems with it.i am a semi-retired self employed motor engineer.this old truck up until last year had been used as a towing vehicle,service van etc.i made a mistake and ran it on too high a concentration of vegtable oil and made the injector pump leak.i changed all the pump seals I could access.it then ran well with just a trace of a leak which ithought mistakenly as it turns out was coming from the base of the cut out solenoid.i made up a spanner to remove this .got it out ok but the recessed seal was good.started her back up, she ran for a few minutes and died and would not restart.i have removed the solenoid and refitted several times now.it "works" on and off the vehicle.by "works" I mean it clicks.could anyone advise me please,i think a may need a new solenoid but would like I the opinion of folks that know these vehicles better than I,thanks in advance,cheers..greasemonkey
