I have had five drums from Miller's all of which have been badly cast requiring removal of casting swarf from the inside of the drum. One even came with a blow hole through the braking service as a result of an air bubble in the cast.
Worse still is the terrible juddering as a result of bad milling. Every drum has suffered with two black spots (raised spots) at effectively 12 and 5 o'clock positions. This is despite changing the entire braking system front and rear and fitting two sets of new rear shoes from different brands.
I have just fitted two Pagid drums and the problem has disappeared. Milners response (and their standard response to any problem) is "we sell thousands of these and have never had a problem". They are refusing to accept returns or provide a refund or credit note.
I will be taking them back in person next week with an engineering report on them if I can get it in time.
Also worth noting is their fitting kit is wrong, the pegs are far too short compressing the springs to their limit resulting in no available shoe movement.
If anyone from Milners is reading this expect a visit.
