lower wishbone bushes.. ?

I want to stiffen up my steering and front end etc more and I've read that changing the upper wishbone bushes is harder to do than the lowers. Does anyone reckon the lowers wear quicker than the uppers or is the wear just random (or even) ?
Just hoping to get away with using the big vice.

btw there is wear on the inside o/s tyre

I can't speak for a second Gen, but in terms of swapping out the bushes upper and lower are the same...

However, If the lobed camber tubes are rusted in place it an utter bugger to remove.. - especially on a 3rd gen as they are hardened steel - a reciprocating saw won't touch them.
