  • hot & cold marks on atf dipstick

    hi folks just changed atf fluid today would I b right in saying I check level when fluid is hot ? as there is 4 marks on dipstick iam not sure which ones r what? can some one tell me how to check the fluid properly thanks

    Yes check levels when engine hot.

    Park up.On level ground.
    Cycle through gears.
    Check level.
    Eat.Sleep.Surf.Repeat.

        The fluid level needs to be within the two lower marks when cold, and within the two upper marks when hot.

          before I changed it the level was on the top mark put bk in what I took out and it is over the top mark should I check it when it is cold then top up if needed ?

            The main thing is to check the level with the engine idling, then refer to post #4.

                As long as its all dex 111 it's fine.
                If its not broke don't fix it.
