Timing belt and oil change warning light - reset not working :(

I've removed the little rubber bung and pressed the button.

Still shows on ignition turn.

Am I missing something...is it meant to show? It's not on constantly...just a warning when I go to start.

Would rather it didn't so I felt the car acknowledge the large wedge I've just spent on it

I must get that search button fixed.

All is well, the light should come on with the ignition but extinguish once the engine has started.

But the search button mantra is boring and annoying, man.

Too many useless broken posts with broken links.

There's no posts talking about the thing going off after engine start. It's all about resetting it. Which is why I knew the reset procedure.

BECAUSE I USED THE FECKING SEARCH FACILITY!



Anyway, it's obvious now I think about it. But searching for it turning off was never going to happen...when I didn't think about it that way

Hehehe!!!

The dash lights, including the engine check, come on with ignition to make sure the bulbs are working. If any of them remain on after the engine has started then chances are you'll need to open your wallet.

Yeh...I realised this after posting

Was one of those "durrrrr" moments. ###### obvious *facepalm*

At least it's correctly reset to coincide with the change.
