  • Wheel types that fit? (rims, not tyres) :)

    Hey all,

A couple of surfs that I've been viewing haven't got the nicest of wheels.

So I'm going to search the web for some basic black steels (like them). I'm looking at 15" but maybe 16" if I go for new tyres etc.

Anyways...my question: Which manufacturers have the same type fittings? I don't own one yet so have no idea. What 6 bolt models models fit?

I suspect I don't need to stay within the Toyota word.

    Thanks for your time.

Something along the lines of these 15"x10" steels (in Black though).

      Bingo: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-x-10-St...item1e78aa984c

Ignore me Assuming that's a standard offset and the width is fine? Or do I need narrower? 7"?

You'll be wanting 33's to put on those rims (and the 4" lift to let them fit) - 10" wide rims are built for a 12" wide tyre.

          Just edited

So am I looking at a 7" variant for standard 10.5"?

If you go for 8" rims then you can fit 31's fine, and have the option of 32's or 33's at a push later.

There's loads of info here on wheel sizes so have a search and see whats good for you. The google search at the top of the page is better than the forum search as it recognises 3 letter words.

            hth,

            Rob.

Yeh...I ussed the Google search but I got lost in tyre discussions and some of the posts are so old...links don't work.

You're advice about 8" wasn't found and I think it's excellent advice and thank you for it

I have since found out that pretty much the Japanese 6 stud wheels will fit.
