Steering vibration and slight whining noise

The alt belts can seem a little small to fit - I usually unbolt the lock bolt on the adjuster completely so the alt can push down as far as possible. Usually the belts seem slightly different lengths too so one is set perfect and one seems a little loose (thats with belt kits from Milners and Roughtrax)

Re: steering reservoir The cap gauge works fine for me. Might be worth checking the pump for leaks as I'm on my 3rd 3.0 and all of them had leaky pumps when I got them.

I have ordered new belts...again.

Somebody today mentioned that the pulley wheel might be polished and that's why it slips.

Other than hair spray, what can be done to unpolish a pulley wheel?
