    timing light panic

    hi people can anyone help? im looking fir a mechanic near orpington kent and would be gratefull if anyone knows a good priced one? most garages round here seem to be rip off merchants!! i dont know one end of a spanner from the other (sadhuh?) i got a 2.4td ssr surf and the timing belt light has just come on at 80k ive read a few threads and guess its sposed to come on at 100k (thinking import thats been clocked)also i think its time for oil filter changes etc as it seems a little juicy? hellllllllp lol

    Dont Panic its fine your surf will not burst into flames. someone near you will give you more info

      Gary,
      Don't worry about the timing light coming on early, many do & some are'nt clocked, just get it done as soon as is reasonably possible.

      Sorry i cannot help with mechanic, but if you go up to manchester Marky has part shares in Steve's setup

      I'm sure some member in Kent will help.
