Rear wiper blade

I have bought a rear wiper blade from ebay "it was advertised as fitting a surf" and is the correct length, But I think it must be a special fitting and I can't see any way of fitting the new blade.
Am I missing something or do I need a special wiper blade?

I think you need one off Roughtrax. Last time I looked at mine, it looked non-standard. Unless someone knows of a clever mod to make a generic chinese ebay blade do the job?

As above, also Halfords used to do the blades for the old hilux pickup which the front blades are the same as the Surf rear one. There was an adaptor kit you bought for the correct fitting.

Just done my rear wiper. I just swapped the actual rubber blade. Simply prise apart the small metal claws and remove old and put in new. If I was a better engineer I would grind out the spindle in the centre of an original, the part that holds on the unique fitting. I would then replace with a new pin grooved around on end to take a circlip.

Same for above, replace rubber blade. Take your time as tabs that hold rubber are delicates. That's what I did, spray painted arm as was bit faded.

The originals are special fitment and yes roughtrax do them if your arm is rusted.

No idea what the difference is.

Now I want the winter version.

that's exactly what I did, I grinded out the centre pin and replaced with a c clip pin. now I can buy the standard wiper blades and use that. my screws have long since rounded out by pervious owners
