front wiper linkage ??

noticed to day that my wipers didnt clear the window that well but after burther inspection the linkage where the wiper arms connect to seem to be badly worn

is this common and any ways for fixing/repairs

ahh i done a search and found a little info on it


looks like a bodge job or a good second hand unit
