  • auto temp light

hi, got my first surf last week, '95 kzn130 auto, when i start it cold and just leave ticking over, the temp light for ATF comes on after a few mins, ive changed fluid and cleaned steel filter in sump tray, made no difference, is it a faulty switch? where is it located?

the sender is on the ATF outlet pipe, it is on drivers side, and the pipe closest to engine

check that the ATF cooling pipes are connected to the radiator cooler and not bypassing it...

If your radiator doesn't have those tubes that andycook is talking about then that might be a manual trans radiator, if so, you gotta get an air to air ATF cooler, which is not a replacement but an upgrade since 1. it is an after market item 2. does better work

if your tubes from the transmission fluid housing goes to two tubes in & out from the bottom of the radiator then all is as it should.
to be honest, I don't know where to go next after that.

      i wish you luck!

I am hoping for my own 1KZ engine for my christmas/bday.... sighssssss
