further info when replacing cv boot

just replaced my inner and outer cv joint boots with the Great help from the info on the forum. It would have been helpful to explain why you need scissor ball joint splitter to remove the bolt. (fortunatly I had one)for those who have already done this job will know that the bolt has splines on it. see pic

You don't 'need' to remove the stud but some folks on here find it easier if you do.
