Pretty sure a lot of the manual 2nd gens have G254 axle codes which are 4.56.. No idea on the 3rd gens.

      Thanks for the info.
I am totally confused now. I did a KZ-TE conversion into a 3.4 v6 with a 4.3 ratio. The top speed (of course) wasn't enough( about 55-60 k/h at about 2500rpm). Right now i am using 3.9 and it is reasonable(90k/h at 2100rpm), but still would like to go 3.73(i just can't find the same gears for the front).
How the hell you can get a good cruising speed with 4.56 with a manual tranny?
The kz engines came with R series which has .84 or .86 in 5th gear. The autos in overdrive have about .73 .
I broke a hilux 2.4 non turbo this summer which had 4.56 as well. It had a G58 tranny with .85 at the end.

Not the 3Ltr as far as I know. 2.4s, yes. They had both 4.56s and 4.875s.

The 3Ltr are usually 4.1 and possibly 4.3.

Interesting numbers for sure, but i think with 4.3 i would never get to the 100km/h.
Bigger tires are usually a good option. But i don't want to go that way.
I have 3 sets of tires already. 265 75 R16 all terrain, and x-ice winter and 33 inch mud.
I have inchworm dual t-case but i think you can't install the gears in the wrong way.
