Bitten off more than I can chew?

Hi all,
I have noticed that my power steering pump has sprouted a small leak, so thought I'd buy a new seal kit and overhaul it. Then I looked at the technical manual I downloaded from here somewhere and think I may have bitten off more than can chew!
Does anyone have any advice please, and just how difficult is it really?? Can a novice DIYer manage with no specialist tools?

Thanks for that. Why can't I find this stuff when I do a forum search??
I found a write up before but it went into a lot of detail about the pump vanes and ensuring the correct clearances and stuff.
Again that write up talks about special tools for removing the bearings, but I guess I'll have to knock up a makeshift press using the old bottle jack.

I've done a couple of these just take your time and lay everything out in the order you remove it. Front cog / shaft levers out with a couple of big screwdrivers. Seal knocks out from the back. The vanes do have a certain way of fitting.
