What evidence is there that Chinese cylinder heads (or any other of their automotive parts) are shite?

Generally Chinese quaility is pretty shite, I think they are getting their act together these days, especially as more and more 'geniune parts' get made out there, but unless you're sure about stuff its still a gamble.

Personal experance with cheap winches and tools is I no longer bother, most arn't just 'rebranded' as suppliers tell you, they are budget copys.

Trouble with expensive bits is they may replace parts with no hassle, but they don't refund labour, so on a head job you will still pay lots on extra if you have a problem. Out of 4 heads bought onb ebay, one went straight back, one didn't work and two have been ok.

But not used any for a few years.

The Milners cylinder head is chinese produced, and as I'm aware plenty on here have bought it and been happy with it!
It's out of stock this week,or my truck would have been getting one.
If you check the web site for the manufacturer "Tocema" then I think that you may find that in some respects we are under estimating the standards of chinese production.

Who builds the original Toyota head???

          Regards
