  • surf gen 2 spare wheel bracket help :)

    Hi I am trying to put a spare wheel braket on to my 2nd gen 92 ssrx surf it has the bolt holes for the carrier but I am not sure if I am missing some pieces or what can any one explane ?

      Well I saw a picture another chap put up on the forum n it showed a dip or hole in the centre of that panel that the key goes in. Does yours ? I'm goin to try n pull it of today

        Yeah, you're right. There is a different panel there for the rear carrier.

              I've removed the spare carrier,and have the panel you need/want! Fancy a swap??

                Someone had to to some effort to put a plate and bondo over the indent in the cover so I cleared it out all the bolts were their bolt on job is a bobbin

                  I did notice something not quite right with the paintwork there, but didn't think that the panel had been filled in. Pretty obvious now.

                    Na man I'm good thanks after I pulled the bond and plate out it works just fine.

                      This is it finished a bit ruff as you can see around the edges but with the wheel on ya can't see.
