  • Which way do you fit the front brake pads?

    Hi All

Got some new pads for the truck today and jumped straight in with both feet.

Pulled the old ones out without too much trouble.
Got the new ones out of the plastic wrapper and popped them in.
I thought they looked a little odd but they went in with a little fight.

Got to work on the other side then after removing the other set I noticed that the new ones were packed in pairs and not per axle.

You have a pad with one wear indicator and the other one has two.
    Which way do they go?

I have fitted the double indicator against the outside face of the disc.

Is this right or should it be the other way around?

I have looked for old posts looking for the answer but could't find anything.

    Many thanks

    Steve

Inner and outer backing plates are different. Inner has the double wear indicator.

I used to do stuff like that but hey you live & learn.
If its not broke don't fix it.
