  • Rear wiper screws

I'm wanting to find out what sort of screws are needed to replace the rather knackered ones on my rear wiper? 1996 Gen 3 SSRX.

I've successfully changed the blade and stopper but one screw was badly corroded onto the stopper and has come out of it with something of a headache.

Is there something else I can use with the same thread perhaps?

    Grateful of any links/tips.

    Cheers,

    Jon

That's a very kind offer - thank you!

Will see if I can PM you in a sec. I'm over west.

For anyone else interested, I've discovered that the correct thread of these rear wiper screws is: 42 UNF. Measured it with a thread gauge.

The diameter is a little less certain but I think it's 9/64" given that they are 0.134" across.

Surpising as I thought the Japs always used metric.

You can get this size in metal screws, albeit with non-Philips heads.

Anyway, that's as far as I've got.
