  • Gen 3 front seats removal

    Hi,

I intend to remove front seats to allow for steam cleaning and removal of carpet for deep cleaning. Seats have 4 bolts. 3 appear easy to remove with nuts visible under vehicle but 4th bolt (front nearest centre console) slackens but I cannot see the nut underneath. If I fully unscrew it looks like I will lose the nut in the chassis somewhere. Does anyone have any advice as to how this bolt can be removed please?

The 'nuts' are welded to the vehicle so won't go anywhere when you unbolt the seats.

thanks. That's maybe my problem. The nut is obviously no longer welded in place as it moves with the bolt and will drop off if the bolt is fully unscrewed.

Finally got the drivers seat out. Turns out a previous owner has done a bit of a bodge job, hence the bolt not coming out too easy. As suggested, should have been straight forward had the nuts still been welded to the floor etc.

Not if someone has already broken the captive nut from the floor.
