Hi there everyone,
So I have owned a Surf now for 6 months out in New Zealand, and it has been great until the last couple of months where it has had no end of problems.
My surf is a 2.4 SSR LTD
I have cracked the head and had the whole head assembly replaced.
Before the head went the truck felt down on power and the green light would show intermittently, and boost would feel intermittent too. My local garage has diagnosed that problem to being a worn fuel pump, that has now been repaired. The turbo was fully pressure checked and found to be spooling up fine as it should be. Mechanically, there is nothing wrong with it.
Now however there is no sign of the green light until 4th gear, or 3rd under heavy load. It also still feels down on acceleration from before the problems started, and struggles to get to 100kmh.
I have checked the vacuum hoses are all where the should be.
Any idea what might be the problem? Do I need to take it to someone to check the engine management system or other electronics?
Cheers
