  • Clutch judder

Could someone please advise. I have a 2958cc 4Runner 1994, it was registered new in this country. Is it a KZN130 ? The other question is have had it for nearly 3 years 150k on the clock runs like a sewing machine but when started from cold the clutch judders when letting it out in 1st gear. Once warm all is ok. Should I replace the clutch as I am planning to take it to Mongolia in 2013 ?

      The V6 is a VZN130.

Probably safer to change it for that sort of trip, especially as I guess you'd be carrying quite a bit of weight as well.

Make sure you check the flywheel doesn't need refaceing if its got hot and also check the crank seal isn't leaking oil onto the clutch, a few thing can cause clutch juddering, even something like condensation if its damp out when you first start in the morning.
