  • Need 2" lift, anyone else, any help?

    Hi

I need a 2" lift on my 2nd Gen 1993 3l TD Surf, to accommodate the tyres I recently fitted. OOOppps!

I read that sometimes peoples get together on here and lift all their surfs in one day. Like a group job with every body helping each other. Sounds good to

Otherwise has anyone got an idea of how much it costs to pay someone for a 2" lift. What's involved etcetera?

    Thanks for reading

    James

    Now your turn.
(thought I'd never hear my self say this but...) use the search function. It's dead easy to do yourself, but you need to "gen up" on the process and bits you need to loosen/look out for.
it really is only a few hours work.
Oh and remove the front seats... it makes it a lot easier..

      Thanks for replying Wolfracer

I've been looking and can't find anything of use.

I suppose I'm looking for instruction on how a 2" body lift on a 2nd gen goes.
What I need and what to look out for.

Have you got any pointers or posts you know of?

      Thanks

I've scrolled down and read the posts and there's nothing to help me with a
          2" body lift.

I know there are posts but I can't find them, I've spend a good hour if not more searching this site and I can't find any instructions. On what I'll need or how to do it.

              Thanks that was useful.

Can anyone give me the heads up on what I'll need to do to my 3l Auto 2nd gen when it's lifted?

I read that I won't have to do anything to the radiator but am unsure whether I'll need to do something to lift the bumper?

              Thanks

Make some brackets to lift the bumper, bottom half of radiator shroud will need to come off.
Sometimes the hole around the gear levers need trimming.
