I believe the camshaft is chain drive. Replacement is recommended as every 100K kilometers. Apparently it's not too difficult a job on the 3.0L, but a bit of a pig on the 2.4 (so avoid as they can have other problems as well)

The 3.0 is a 1KZ-T engine and is a belt driven interference engine. Change every 100,000km (60,000m). Water pump isn't belt driven and so only requires belt, tensioner and idler bearing when changing......

when you buy a new belt it generally has the 3 timing marks on it (cam, crank, injector pump) absolute doddle to fit and only takes about 30 minutes to do it

Hi Bullet, if you do a quick google search for 1KZ-TE timing belt change there are plenty "how to" guides and pdf`s around, the timing belt only runs between the injection pump and the cam on these engines and is accessible by removing the top cover, yes your engine is also an interference engine.
